ShareYourCard

A few useful answers

Questions about your share cards.

Practical answers about link previews, random templates and high-resolution image exports.

Which links can I turn into cards?

You can enter links to publicly accessible web pages, articles and social posts. Automatic titles, post text and covers depend on what the source website exposes. Login walls, paid content or automated-access restrictions may leave only the original link available. You can then add the missing content yourself.

Why is the cover missing, or why do I only see an author name?

Some sites expose a generic title or author information without the actual post text or cover. An account name is not the body of a post. Open “Edit content” or “Add content” to review the title, description and author, and add your chosen image. ShareYourCard does not invent missing source text.

How do I choose a template or change the aspect ratio?

Select “Another card” to randomly try a different layout from all 81 templates, without repeats within a round. Each template has its own aspect ratio. There is no template picker or separate ratio control. Your content stays the same while you explore layouts.

What if my text is too long or my photo is cropped?

Text is fitted to the space available in each design, so long text may be shortened and some layouts do not show the full description. Shorten the title, keep a concise takeaway, or try a template with more text space. Image frames also differ. “Screenshot Notes” can show a complete screenshot inside its frame.

What format and resolution will I download?

Cards download as PNG images at 2160 pixels wide; height follows the template’s native aspect ratio. Previews are rendered at 1080 pixels wide. The current flipped or unfolded object state and the integrated ShareYourCard icon and name are included. PDF, SVG and animated exports are not available.

Can someone click the link inside my PNG?

A PNG is an image, so its printed URL is not a clickable web link. Include the original URL when sharing. Some designs, including invoices, thermal receipts and the back of the tag, include a QR code for the original link. Very long or dense URLs may be shown as text instead.

Are uploaded images stored on a server? Can I recover a card after refreshing?

Local images selected in the editor are processed in the current browser page and are not uploaded to a server. The public URL you enter is sent to the metadata service to retrieve its information. Cards and edits do not have account storage or cross-device sync. Refreshing resets the page, so download any card you want to keep.

Does switching language translate my card?

The language button changes interface text and template names, not the source content. Your current input, generated card and edits are preserved. To use different wording or another language in the card itself, edit the content manually.
